William is the CEO of Occam Global and has more than 30 years’ experience in executive recruiting and business services.
Prior to founding Occam, William created J. Robert Scott, a multinational executive search firm under the umbrella of Fidelity Investments. He specializes in recruiting C-level executives and board of directors searches for the financial services and healthcare sectors, with clients including MIT, Ameriprise, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, AstraZeneca, Venrock, New Enterprise Associates, and SingHealth.
Earlier in William’s career, he worked for PwC and managed the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Bill currently serves on the boards of Diagnostics For All, a global health initiative founded by George Whitesides of Harvard University, and the SFJAZZ Center. For nine years, he was a member of the board of Berklee College of Music. William holds a master’s degree in medieval history from the Johns Hopkins University, an MBA in finance from Boston University, and a CPA in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He has spoken extensively on matters of organizational development and career management at institutions such as Harvard Business School, MIT, Babson College, and Northeastern University. He also taught film at Boston University.
